Large and bright apartment located on the 1st floor (with elevator and doorman) of an elegant building right in the centre of town. The property is in fact a stone’s throw from the magnificent Piazza Santo Stefano and 2 minutes from Piazza Maggiore and the Asinelli tower. It is an ideal solution for visiting all the most famous monuments on foot and experiencing the enveloping atmosphere of the historic city center.

This splendid 140 sq. mt. 2 bedroom room apartment is made up of a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms and was completely renovated at the end of 2019. The apartment opens onto a welcoming living room which is very bright thanks to the large windows, from which you can access the balcony overlooking the shared garden. The carefully designed LED lighting is adjustable and allows you to create the right atmosphere for any occasion. The furnishings include 2 elegant sofas, one of which converts into a French sofa bed (130 cm x 200 cm) and 4 empire chairs upholstered with fine fabrics. The modern round dining table is able to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests.

The large custom-made kitchen has an island and 2 stools. It has a white and resistant quartzite counter that stands out against the modern smoke-colored wall units, which hide a dishwasher, electric oven, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle, and gas burners.

The sleeping area is separated from the living room by a corridor that leads to the 2 large bedrooms. The master bedroom is embellished with important works of art and is furnished with a comfortable double bed (160 cm x 200 cm) and a large wardrobe with 2 doors. It also has a finely decorated en-suite bathroom with a double shower and double sink. The second bedroom is decorated with Bolognese watercolors and has another double bed (160 cm x 200 cm), a large 2-door Empire style wardrobe, and a built-in closet. The second bathroom is extremely spacious and has a large walk-in shower, double sink, and laundry area with washer and dryer. The apartment also has a storage room.

The apartment has fine finishes such as marble floors and precious antique furniture. The apartment features electric shutters, the latest generation anti-noise windows, and air conditioning in every room. Both bedrooms are equipped with large 43” smart TVs that allow you to connect to your Netflix account. In the living room, there is a bluetooth speaker with Google assistant. The property is handicap accessible without any steps and is very quiet.

Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and are provided with bed linens and towels. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the apartment to explain how everything works and to hand over the keys. During your stay, our staff is available to address any requests or concerns.

Area:
The apartment is located in an enviable position, a short walk from the heart of Bologna’s historic city center. It is an excellent choice for exploring the city on foot. In fact, in just a short walk you can reach all the most interesting monuments of the center, as well as numerous art exhibitions, or the most renowned restaurants.
The apartment is located in the immediate vicinity of the historic city center. Strada Maggiore is one of the main routes that leads to the fascinating Corte Isolani, the famous towers of Bologna, and Piazza Maggiore. The University, on Via Zamboni, is less than 5 minutes on foot from the apartment. On this same street, you will find Municipal Theater, famous for its full calendar of operas. The most interesting monuments of the city are all very close to the apartment. Among the best known are Piazza Santo Stefano, (with the magnificent 7 churches built one on top of the other and the splendid Corte Isolani), and Torre degli Asinelli, which evocatively leans towards Torre della Garisenda. The portico of Palazzo dei Banchi constitutes one of the sides of the so-called Quadrilatero: a complex of pedestrian streets where you can find all the delicacies of the region (cured meats, fresh pasta, wine), a true sancta sanctorum for cooking enthusiasts. Finally, shopping lovers will have a hard time choosing since right around the apartment they will find Via Indipendenza, the shops of the great brands of Galleria Cavour, or the refined boutiques of Via Farini or Via d’Azeglio.
Finally, in the immediate vicinity there is Piazza Aldrovandi, where one of the old markets of Bologna is located. Here you can buy local food and wine, fresh meat and fish, as well as fruit and vegetables from the area.

Public transportation:
Being in the center of Bologna, the apartment is well served by public transportation. Along Strada Maggiore, Piazza Aldrovandi, or Via Santo Stefano you can take buses to reach the exhibition center, hospitals, train station, and airport shuttle.

Parking:
The apartment is located within the ZTL zone. There are several parking lots for a fee available in the vicinity with quotes upon request depending on the type of car. The closest parking garage is located on Via San Petronio Vecchio, 40/4, less than 600 meters away from the apartment.

Driving in the center of Bologna:
In case of multi-month stays (from 3 months on) it is possible to request an entry permit to the historic city center. For customers who stay for a short period, the Municipality admits entry by car to the center only for 3 days in the course of a month or for 4 consecutive days. Access is guaranteed by a daily ticket (€ 6) which can be purchased at the TPer point located on Via Marconi 4, on the corner of Via Lame, at Carrefour supermarkets, or at the tobacco shop next to the Basilica of San Petronio.

Tourist Tax:
Guests are required to pay a tourist tax that is not included in the price. The fee varies from €1.50 to € 5.00 per person per night depending on the value of the booking. It is applied only to the first 5 nights.
