Wonderful apartment of about 140 sq. mt. located in a charming period building overlooking Piazza Santo Stefano, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, just a short walk from Piazza Maggiore. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, double living room, and 2 bathrooms. It is tastefully finished and equipped with every comfort.

This apartment has been completely renovated in furnishings and amenities in March 2018. It is located on the 2nd floor (with elevator, 9 steps to get to the property) and overlooks the internal courtyard of the building and therefore is very quiet. The floors are all in an elegant parquet while the kitchen and bathrooms are decorated with ceramic or porcelain stoneware. The windows are all of excellent quality, have screens and can be electronically controlled. The heating is independent and adjustable with the thermostat, while the air conditioning splits, present in each room, provide refreshment during the summer.

The entrance opens onto the living area: an environment where your gaze is immediately caught by the splendid Belle Époque style window, a unique piece. The furnishings include a comfortable crystal table for 6 guests, a double sofa bed (140 cm x 200 cm) and 2 comfortable matching chairs. The flat-screen TV in the living room is 26’’. The dining room is located next to the living room and provides another 6-person table and a series of credenzas useful for accommodating the large kitchen set. The eat-in kitchen has been custom-made by one of the best known Italian furniture makers, with a style that resembles the furnishings of luxury boats. It is fully equipped with an electric oven, a dishwasher, a toaster, a Nespresso coffee machine (capsules not included), and a kit for preparing fresh pasta. The triangular table is a comfortable area for a quick breakfast, while the utility room can be used as a spacious pantry.

To go up to the sleeping area you need to climb the 10 steps of the scenic wooden staircase that leads to the upper floor. A separé provides privacy for the guest room, which is equipped with a double sofa bed (140 cm x 200 cm) and a comfortable wardrobe to store your things. In front of the room, in the attic, there is a laundry room complete with washing machine and space to store a drying rack. Finally, a corridor leads to the elegant master bedroom, furnished with a double bed (160 cm x 200 cm), and a separate walk-in closet, where you can store your things.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms: one is located on the lower floor and has a shower, while the other bathroom is located in the sleeping area and offers guests a large Jacuzzi.

Area:
The apartment is located exactly in the historic city center of Bologna.
Nearby there are points of great historical and artistic interest, such as the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, the famous Teatro dell’Opera Comunale, the characteristic Jewish ghetto, the Garisenda tower and the Asinelli tower (less than a 2-minute walk away), as well as Piazza Maggiore.
The most famous shopping streets of Bologna, Via d’Azeglio and Via Farini (with its prestigious Galleria Cavour, the realm of high fashion brands made in Italy), are less than 200 meters away from the apartment.

Public transportation:
Finding ourselves in the heart of the center of Bologna there is nothing but choice. Along Via Santo Stefano and Via Rizzoli you can take the bus to the fair, the hospitals and the train station as well as the shuttle to the airport.

Parking:
The apartment is located in the pedestrian area and therefore in the limited traffic area. On public holidays the center is completely pedestrianized. Paid parking spaces are available in the vicinity (along Via Santo Stefano or Via San Petronio Vecchio). It is possible to obtain temporary residence and passes to drive in the historical center only for stays longer than 3 months.

For clients staying for a short period, the Municipality admits entry with a car in the center only for 4 consecutive days in the course of a month or 3 non-consecutive days.
Access is guaranteed by paying a ticket (€ 6.00), which can be purchased at the Tper offices located in: Via Marconi 4, at the corner of Via Lame or at Carrefour sales points affiliated with TPer. You can also buy the ticket at the tobacconist located on the side of the Basilica of San Petronio, in Piazza Maggiore.

Alternatively, you can park in the parking lot in Piazza 8 Agosto (€ 20.00 per day, or € 200.00 for the whole month) which is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment.
