Spacious and elegant 65 m2, one-bedroom apartment with bright living room and kitchen, located in one of the most exclusive areas of Bologna, in the charming setting of an old restored medieval monastery transformed into an elegant residential building, with concierge (open Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 6pm), common garden and private garage (2,18 yd wide and 6,56 yd long).

The apartment is on the second floor and all windows overlook a luscious internal courtyard, providing guests with a quiet and relaxing environment to enjoy their stay. A portable AC unit and centralized heating system will ensure guests can always enjoy optimal temperatures in every season.

The apartment's interior finishes reflect the elegance of the building’s surroundings; for this reason, floors are in oak wood, windows are double-paned and soundproof and the foyer is decorated with magnificent modern wooden paneling. In general, the decor consists of an exquisite blend of beautiful antiques pieces and more modern elements.

In particular, the living room makes available to guests two 3-seater sofas - one of which can be turned into a queen-size bed - a modern table, which can be extended to accommodate as many as 6, and a wall-mounted flat 32” TV. The living room decor is completed by an antique inlaid wood chest and a precious eighteenth-century Florentine secretary desk, while carefully placed lamps create the right ambiance for every occasion.

The kitchen is very modern and enhanced by an original mix of colors, ranging from the white-washed wenge of wall-mounted cabinets to the teal of disappearing sliding door and cabinet doors. Amenities in the kitchen include electric and microwave ovens and dishwasher.

A customized door leads to the bedroom, which is large and bright, and features a nice queen-size bed with light color fabric headboard, desk with stereo and 4-door wardrobe. The en suite bathroom includes double shower, whose unique pentagon shape is a true attraction. The beautiful cabinet with marble counters and wooden doors, which hide a technical compartment, bear witness to the great attention to detail, which guests can find in every corner of this residence. This is the ideal place for those who looks for the best in every detail.

Public transport:
Located in the heart of Bologna's center, the apartment is well served by public transport. Along Via Santo Stefano and Via Rizzoli, you can take several buses (headed to the Fiera, hospitals and train station), as well as the airport shuttle.

Parking:
The apartment also includes a private garage accessible from Via dei Buttieri 3; it measures 6,40 ft in width and approximately 20 ft in length and is within a restricted-traffic area. For stays longer than 3 months, guests can obtain a temporary residence permit and a pass to drive through the city’s historic center. The pass has a 12-month validity. For shorter stays, it is only possible to access the historic center on 3 non-consecutive days (or 4 consecutive days), with a ticket that can be purchased at authorized ATC sellers. The cost of the ticket is € 6.00 (per day). Without entering the restricted-traffic area, parking is available on Via Dante Alighieri, directly opposite the apartment.

Area:
The apartment is located in a very strategic location, less than a 5-min walk from Piazza Maggiore and Piazza delle 7 Chiese (Piazza Santo Stefano). In its immediate vicinity are points of great historical and artistic interest, such as the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, the renowned Opera Comunale, as well as the famous Jewish ghetto, and the Garisenda and Asinelli Towers, which, just like Piazza Maggiore, are less than a 2-min walk away. Bologna’s most famous shopping streets, Via d'Azeglio and Via Farini (with its prestigious Cavour Gallery, the heart of Made-in-Italy high-fashion brands) are at approximately 200 yd away from the apartment.

I was out most of the time during my stay, but it was really nice to get back in such a pleasant apartment. It was quite hot in Bologna when I was there, but the apartment - thanks to its structure and because of the a/c unit - was a perfect retreat from the heat. The location is great, the neighbourhood quiet and convenient to move around Bologna's city centre. I will certainly consider booking here again if I will need to be back in Bologna - and I hope I will! Ms. Anna Pacheco was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. One day the modem stopped working and it was replaced quickly. Excellent customer service!
