The neighbourhood Giuliano-Dalmata borders to the north by the Ardeatino neighbourhood and to the east with the Cecchignola neighbourhood. This neighbourhood was born initially as a "Worker Village E42", used to house the workers that had been employed to work on the building of the Universal Exposition of Rome, EUR, renamed in 1965 as the Europe neighbourhood. With the outbreak of war the workers abandoned their homes, which remained abandoned until 1947, when twelve Giuliani refugee families, citizens from ethnic Italian language forced to leave their territories of the Kingdom of Italy and later from Yugoslavia, settled in the village, renaming it the Giuliano Village. In 1955, following the arrival of about two thousand refugees from Istria and Dalmatia, it assumed its present name.

Monuments to visit: Museum of Roman Civilization, the National Museum of the Middle Ages, the National Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions and the National Museum of Prehistory and Ethnography Luigi Pigorini, plus a new planetarium with a Museum of Astronomy.
This neighbourhood is a residential area, but it is also home to offices, both public and private, so many bars, clubs, and restaurants are present in this area.
