The neighbourhood develops along Via Appia Nuova, which starts at Porta San Giovanni, close to San Giovanni in Laterano Basilica. The area is very well served by public transport - not only bus lines, but first and foremost the subway line A, which follows the Via Appia itself.

From Piazzale Appio up to Largo dei Colli Albani, on both sides of the street, you find plenty of shops and malls: for this reason, Via Appia is considered as the most important shopping street in Rome, outside the city centre.
Do not miss the new mall "Happio" in Via Appia 448, with over 30 shops and restaurants (open daily, from 9am to 9pm, restaurants 10am to 12am, always from Monday to Sunday).
