This is a typical Tuscan villa with an exclusive swimming pool with spectacular views. This independent villa is the center of a property of over 18 acres of woods and olive groves. It is on the last Western slope of Mount Albano, approx. 250 meters. above sea level. The owners have carried out a rigorous and accurate renovation using only materials (such as stone) from the surrounding area and period while ensuring a structure which respects the norms of bio-architecture.
The living areas have been renovated with a careful eye for details - antique furniture, (some going back as far as the 16th Century.) antique ornaments, paintings, doors, prints and Persian carpets. On the other hand, the house has every possible modern comfort.

The outside of the villa is covered with typical local stone as are almost all the houses in the surrounding area and keeps the original aspect of when it was built two hundred years ago. The garden looks over a 360° view of woods and olive groves , hill side towns and hills with chestnuts and cypress trees. To the North one can see the towers of Serravalle Pistoiese and in the distance the mountains of Abetone, famous skiing resort. To the South West the characteristic hillside town of Monsummano Alto. The road in front of the villa leads only to the few surrounding houses. All in all a complete immersion in total silence.

There is a small wood with a relaxation area with armchairs and tables and a view down over the swimming pool. The pool is 8 x 16 mtrs and has a large hydromassage area for 8 people. It is on a natural terrace a few metres below the level of the villa and has a magnificent and almost theatrical view over the valley. It is equipped with tables, chairs, umbrellas, divans, chaise-longues, all in teak. It has a special depuration system which guarantees maximum hygene. It has 0,7% of salt, the same percentage which is found in the human eye. This eliminates the odour and the feeling of chloride on the skin. You can also keep you eyes open while you are underwater. It is open from April to October, wheather permitting. It is partcularly beautiful at nitgh when illuminated. Under the pool there is a big changing room with 2 showers and a bathroom.

Reviews

  • 4.7/5 The villa is absolutely amazing and you really realize you are in Tuscany since there is this "Tuscan farmhouse touch" in the furniture that is lovely. We felt home immersed in total privacy, but still we could go anywhere with our car. The view from the building is fantastic and I still dream of seeing something like this here in Oregon, still nothing has happened outside my window of course! Really suggested!
  • 4.6/5 Fantastic! It was just what we were looking for. We loved the house, the view, the concierge that let us in and the pool. We liked the town of Monsummano and the next town over Montecatini Terme. We also went to the spa and had really relaxing moments! Will go back for sure.
