External Description:
The Terrazza Boboli apartment is located on the 1st floor with lift of a finely restored building on Via Romana, close to the Pitti Palace. Being located on the internal side of the building, away from the main road of Via Romana, the apartment is particularly quiet which is optimal when staying in the heart of the city centre!

The apartment also has two wide terraces, one of which provides a great space for relaxing after a day of sightseeing, sunbathing, or simply having breakfast or lunch outside under the Tuscan sun. Once you step out of the building you will find yourself immersed in the hustle and bustle of Florence. The area offers many shops and stalls selling leather goods, paintings and souvenirs, traditional restaurants, and a range of museums. The other main tourist attractions in Florence like Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo, and the Accademia are just 5 – 10 minutes away by foot.

Internal Description:
The apartment (65 m²) has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and can easily sleep up to 4 people since there is a sofa bed in the living room. The sofa bed is 160 cm wide. A small private terrace leads to the property. Upon entering you will find the living room with sofa, which then leads on to the master bedroom with double bed and a modern bathroom complete with shower. The bedroom window looks out onto the small terrace.

You will find that the apartment has been very carefully renovated and furnished. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and opens out on the second terrace (about 15 m2). This terrace is ideal for having breakfast outside or simply relaxing while drinking a glass of wine and unwinding after exploring the city.

Via Romana is located right in the heart of Florence's city centre, on the Oltrarno side of Florence, just a stone’s throw from the Pitti Palace and Santo Spirito and just a 5 – 10 minute walk from the Duomo, Piazza Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery, the Bargello Museum, and the Science Museum in Piazza de’ Giudici.

The Oltrarno is characterized by narrow cobble-stone streets well-known for the many authentic workshops belonging to Florentine artisans, not to mention the many cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, theatres and museums. The area is full of character and history. In the nearby Santo Spirito neighborhood you will find a daily market that sells a range of fresh produce as well as clothes. There is a small supermarket close by too right in front of the Pitti Palace.

Public Transportation:
The apartment is close to a few bus stops that go towards the main centre of Florence, but we recommend you to go by foot. The main train station Santa Maria Novella is about a 15 – 20 minute wak from the apartment.

The Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a “limited traffic zone” and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red /green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify their need for access in the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.

This property for rent is not a hotel, agritourism, B&B or similar, and therefore by law, extra services similar to those you may find in these types of accommodations, such as a reception, concierge or security, receiving mail, provision of meals and drinks, cleaning and change of linen during your stay, and amenity kits with soaps etc. are strictly prohibited.

  • 4.4/5 Spacious, comfortable, clean, with beautiful furnishings. Hosts very responsive and welcoming.
  • 4.7/5 This is my first time booking through Windows on Italy and I'm delighted. Couldn't be much easier than this and it quick to use this service. This is a lovely apartment right in the heart of Firenze even if the photos don't show how particular the furniture is. It seems minimal, but I would define it "ethnic style" Thanks Thais, Lourdes and Constanza, you helped a lot. Very professional and friendly team.
