Nearby the guests can find just about anything, from shops to supermarkets, restaurants, and much more! Furthermore, a nice little square called Piazza Savonarola is nearby, and is perfect to relax or read a book in peace.
The apartment (75 m2 / 807 sq ft) has 1 double bedroom, 1 complete bathroom, and can comfortably host up to 3 people thanks to its single sofa bed. Upon entering there is a large and bright living room that will delight you with its fireplace and French door that leadsto the lovely terrace. The big living room also has a single sofa bed, dining area, furnished with Japanese styled chairs, just in front of the kitchen door. The kitchen is modern, functional, and well equipped...a dream for guests who love to cook even while on holiday! Connected to the living room, which is the heart of this bright apartment, there is the bathroom, complete with shower, and the double bedroom which also has a nice French door that leads to the terrace.

We would suggest it to anyone who wants to stay in Florence, but also needs to use their car for work or just to visit Tuscany independently. This apartment is also near to many shops, but it’s not located in the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowd that could compromise the guest’s stay.

Not included in the price: Utilities; tourist tax of €2.50 per person (over the age of 12) per night, for the first 7 nights (for information regarding exemptions and reductions, see our F.A.Q. page); agency commission 10% + VAT; garage (upon request for a fee); fee for registering the contract (which in accordance to Italian law must be written in Italian), for rentals over 30 days, equal to 1% of the total rental price (with a minimum fee of € 33.50) plus tax stamps.
All clients staying between 30 days and 60 days guests will have to grant €1000.00 as a deposit with a valid credit card (prepaid cards are not accepted). For rentals over 60 days special conditions apply.
The apartment is located near Piazzale Donatello, a square located along the main connecting road which runs around the historic centre of Florence on what was once the perimeter walls of the old city. The whole area of Piazza Donatello is full of artists and artisans studios. Back in 1874 a real neighbourhood of artisan studios and workshops was formed and in 1949 the Donatello Group was created. Every year in June the Donatello Group organizes an exhibition showing their work to the community in the garden. The lovely Villa Donatello overlooks the square and is now home to a private clinic, and the main lobby of the Giardino della Gherardesca, now owned by a large luxury hotel. Piazza Donatello is still very close to the historical centre and in particular the area known as Santa Croce. In the area you can enjoy the largest selection of boutique shops, bars, traditional restaurants, and pizzerias. Three of the finest restaurants, Cibreo, Pinchiorri, and Alle Murate are nearby. There is also a good choice of mid-priced options. By night, Santa Croce becomes one of the liveliest parts of town and with its pedestrian area and illuminated buildings, it transforms into the perfect venue for an after-dinner glass of wine or evening stroll. For those choosing an apartment in this area Santa Croce offers several food stores, supermarkets, laundromats, and gift shops as well as being adequately served by the local public transportation service. This area of Florence is a 20-30 minute walk or a 5 minute tram or bus ride to the main cultural attractions such as the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo, the Bargello Museum, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio. The Porta al Prato area is mainly residential so there is a variety of grocery stores, bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and cafes. In the area you will also find the Porta al Prato railway station (hourly train links to Empoli), the Stazione Leopolda, Florence’s former railway station which has been converted into a vibrant exhibition hall used for events such as craft fairs, television and fashion shows, as well as cultural and business meetings. The Parco delle Cascine, Florence’s largest public park, popular with walkers, joggers, horse riders, and families, is just 5 minutes away by foot.

The apartment has its own parking garage which is inside the building, therefore having a car is not a problem! The apartment is located just outside the main historical centre of Florence within the area called Campo di Marte. The Florence city center is a ZTL zone which means a limited traffic zone and therefore special rules apply to entering this area. This particular apartment is not located within the ZTL which is an advantage, meaning that driving to the apartment and parking nearby is fairly easy. Nearby the apartment you will find adequate street parking, which you will pay for between approximately 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. When seeking on-street parking please note that you must only park in blue lined spots as the white lined spots are for resident permit use only. Parking costs vary within the city with the highest charges being found towards the centre of Florence. If you prefer, you can park in a private garage or choose one of the several car parks (usually underground).
