The location of our apartment is excellent. It provided us a residential feel with easy access to some wonderful restaurants and markets. The apartment worked out well for the 6 of us. Spacious and nicely decorated, we took the opportunity to shop in some of the local markets and cook a few meals at home. During our stay one of our group broke their foot and was in a temporary cast. On the day of check out they needed to go to the hospital to get another cast put on. When we asked if we could store our luggage with them for a few hours while they went to the hospital, they were very accommodating. The washerdryer and dishwasher units didnt work. This was a wonderful trip and we look forward to returning. October, 2006
This is a BEAUTIFUL, functional apartment in a great area of Florence. Enjoyed Most: The best features of this apartment were its historic beauty combined with the modern functionality of its plumbing, electricity, etc.. Surrounding Area: I enjoyed everything but the street noise. The neighborhood is full of artisan's shops (many lifelong neighborhood residents among the proprietors) and decent-to-superb restaurants and food shops. The 'Santo Spirito' church, market, and piazza are only blocks away. As long as one properly negotiates the 'closing times' one can get virtually anything one needs or wants around here material, aesthetic, or spiritual! June 2000
Our property was convenient to everything that we did. It was a short walking distance to all sites and many restaurants. The best part was being out of the main tourist area and being in a neighborhood with many local shops and restaurants. It gave us the opportunity to see where real Italians lived. It also afforded us the pleasure of eating in much better restaurants than on the other side of the river. As I mentioned before, we very much enjoyed the proximity to the neighborhood stores. We also met many people, despite the language barrier, that were extremely friendly and helpful when we had questions and wanted reccmendations for various things. Oltrarno is now the area we will stay in the future . This was our second trip to Florence and by far the best, primarily due to our apartment.
We had a wonderful stay and will not hesitate to book another apartment with your firm in the future. (03/01/2004)
